More evidence appears in what concerns the yet to be announced Kindle Fire(s). A third tablet touchscreen supplier has been added to the list of those who will provide components for the slate.
DigiTimes, who reported a while back several suppliers of components for the 7-inch and 10-inch Amazon Tablets, now states that TPK holding has been added alongside Wintek and JTouch as a supplier for touchscreen components for the 7-inch Tablet. One reason might be the tight supplies that the other two companies hold regarding the touchscreen component and also the possible high demand this tablet is expected to have. DigiTimes also reported that Wintek claimed that “will start production of touch panels for Amazon as originally scheduled, with shipments to begin in September.”
Another earlier report from DigiTimes implies that Foxconn, the ones who assemble the Kindle device, will bring to life the rumoured 10-inch tablet, while Quanta Computer will take care of the 7-inch slate which is supposed to be already finished.
Stay tuned for more news regarding the close release of the Amazon Tablet.
