
E-Reader maker Kobo recently announced the Kobo Vox tablet, price-matching the Amazon’s Kindle Fire of $199.99.
The specs for the Kobo Vox are similar to the ones of Nook Color and Kindle Fire. Vox delivers a 7-inch screen, 1024 x 600 display resolution, anti-glare coating for better outdoor reading,800 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.
Compared to the Kindle Fire, Kobo Vox is not using a fully modified version of Google’s Android OS, having on board just the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
