Vimeo, with an app currently available for the iOS only , is launching an app version for the Kindle Fire, Android and Windows Phone. The app allows the users to view clips, like, share and comment on videos and search for new ones like on the Vimeo website.
Users can download the Vimeo app for free and run it on their Kindle Fire. You won’t need to log in to watch videos but if you do, you can comment and much more. Basically, it’s a youtube-like app but for Vimeo instead of Youtube.
“Commenting on the development, Joe Schmitt, lead mobile developer at Vimeo said, “With mobile devices making up approximately 15 per cent of our site traffic, we recognise the importance of expanding our platforms to allow people to access Vimeo from as many devices as possible.”"
